    Stafford Meadow Coal Iron City Improvement Company bond 1858 (Scranton PA). 11" X 15". Dated 1858. Multiple vignettes includef Pennsylvania state seal and various classical figures including Lady Liberty warrior, lady Justice, female Indian warrior, George Washington. Issued and not cancelled. Signed by Thomas Remington as president.
    Incorporated December 1857, the company owned about 500 acres for coal mining, including the western portion of the city of Scranton Pennsylvania.
