    Description

NOTE: This same print sold at Mecum last year for 5 (unframed)
One of the most beautiful Indy Art Prints ever! From the brush of Californian Thierry Thompson’s “505 Miles” depicts what is possibly the greatest Indy 500 win in history where Jacques Villeneuve came back from 2 laps down to win the race. He is the only driver in history to win the race and covering 500 miles in doing so.
If you are fan of racing this print is a must-have. The vibrant “Neon like” greens and blue literally jump off the surface. Thompson is the master of color and is known for the most dramatic Motorsport in the world. Printed on the heaviest available museum-quality stock it is signed & numbered by the artist and includes wonderful information like track positions throughout the race and the names of the team members. The print also features Thompson signature neon border. This is great when it comes to matting the print as it allows so many different color options. It’s huge at 38”x27” and will be a centrepiece of any collection. NOTE: The white border appears to be off-white". This is not the case, it is actually a vivid and bright white.
My opening bid on this No Reserve Auction is just 9. If you wish to avoid bidding you can simply “Buy it Now” for 9. I urge you to try and find one cheaper.
Bulletproof (tracked) shipping in a heavy Art Grade tube is to N. America and a higher cost to for overseas.
This print is part of the Fox Den Motorsport collection. One of the largest collections of Motorsport Art and Racing Diecast in North America. Please see my auctions for other wonderful Motorsport items. Inquiries welcome.
NOTE: I’ve been asked by many people what to do with an heirloom piece of art. I urge you have your Motorsport art framed and matted by a reputable shop and use quality framing materials. UV reducing glass or acrylic material will make your print last for generations. Framed Fine art prints can stay in your estate or be donated in exchange for a tax receipt based on appraised value. Appraised value on a print like this done with quality framing and matting would be in the vicinity of 0-00
