ITEM:
Rare limited bottling by J. W. Dant 1969 Indianapolis Motor Speedway 500 Mile Race whiskey decanter.  This bottle was issued as a limited bottling to commemorate the 53rd running of the Indianapolis 500.  This decanter was only made available once (in May 1969) and only at liquor stores in Indiana.  This has made this "Indy 500" collectible very difficult to find.  The bottle itself is molded of black amethyst glass with the traditional flag insignia of the Speedway fired into it in full color.  The decanter was approved by the Speedway as an official, permanent memento of this great American race.  Decanter comes in its original box from "The Americana Collection of Great Moments in History" by J. W. Dant.
SIZE:  decanter measures approximately 9" tall by 4 1/2" wide x 2 1/2" deep.
CONDITION:  Decanter is empty but in terrific condition.  No chips or cracks, tax seal still attached, and colors are rich and vibrant.  Original box is in decent shape with expected wear from years of storage.  The word "empty" has been written on the box top.
