Description
Stock certificate appears to have been assigned from theGem State Copper Company, a mining outfit operating in Washington County, Idaho, from 1924 to 1927. Like many such companies, the Gem State Copper Co. seems to have gone bust and dissolved within a relatively short time, incorporating on May 9, 1924 and dissolving on November 30, 1927. The founding members were Emil Melzer, Charles Black, and George Donart, and the stated aims of the company were to engage in the sale and ownership of mining property and "real estate of every description and kind." This included development of the properties and sale of minerals.
