Candelilla Wax Double Refined Beeswax Substitute 8 Oz DIY Cosmetics Soap Candles
Candelilla Wax is light brown to pale yellow, plant, hard brittle, slightly tacky and lustrous wax with distinctive odor.
Used in making cosmetics such as Lipsticks, Mascaras, Decorative Cosmetics, Lip Balms, Salves, Ointments. Suitable for natural, green and vegans cosmetics formulations (recipes).
Adds lubricity, skin protective and water repellent film and slip (glide) to DIY homemade skin, lip and hair care products. It is mostly used mixed with other waxes to harden them without raising their melting point (temperature at which wax turns into liquid). Just be aware that this wax does not reach its maximum hardness for several days after cooling.
To incorporate into your DIY cosmetics products: combine together with your other oils, butters (mango, kokum, cupuacu) and waxes (carnauba, jojoba, sunflower) and heat up while stirring until everything is melted and uniform. Melting temperature of this wax is 146ºF-164ºF (68º-73ºC).
Product comes in a convenient resealable stand up pouch with zip lock that is easy to store and easy to use. Wax could come in form of flakes or prills; form does not affect wax quality.
