Unique vignette with the sternwheeler steamboat "E. R. Andrews" (printed on side) pushing coal barges down the Ohio River. The boat entered service around 1896 and was named for the company’s first president.
The Campbell’s Creek Coal Company was incorporated in Cincinnati, Ohio, with offices in the Mercantile Library Building. The company advertised a variety of coal-based products including "lump, washed egg, washed nut & slack, smokeless and genuine Lehigh anthracite."
The company's coal mines were located on Campbell's Creek in Kanawha County, West Virginia.
Coal was transported by rail to the Ohio River, where the company operated steamboats and barges to move the product downstream to the company's elevators located in Harbor Landings at the foot of Baymiller Street in Cincinnati.
