Incorporated under the laws of the State of Kentucky 1886. This stock, not cancelled, certificate #1144 is 5 1/4" X 10 1/4" and was issued February 16, 1888.
Very good certificate suitable for framing. Mines were located in Grass Valley California and were first discovered in 1851. It was first known as the East Eureka, then the O'Connor. The original location was situated just east of the Maryland Mine but in later years a new shaft was sunk 2 1/2 miles east of Grass Valley on Colfax Road.
