  • Condition: Used/canceled condition w/staple holes & 2 vertical folds. But I don't see a listing for the certificates on the internet. Only reference to the company was some newspaper articles from the 1905 formation date. Said the claim was a really good one. I don't know what happened nor anyone offering one of these. Was there a consolidation? This one is for 1000 shares at each, issued to San Francisco investor Joseph B. Toplitz on June 1, 1907. It is for the GOLDFIELD-HERALD MINING COMPANY in Goldfield AZ. It is numbered "1315" so where are the rest of the certificates? Measures 10" by 8" & is printed in black with brown under print, printed by Grimes-Strassforth Stationery Co. Also NP. Signatures appear to be Secretary D.C. McKenzie & President S W Butler. I just checked the 2005 Almanac of Antique Stock Certificates under mining stocks & there is no listing for this mining company. Perhaps it was all owned by a small group of investors. Never really on the market?
